American Craft Council National Open Studios Weekend

Artisans and artists at The Mill at Shelburne Falls, located at 49 Conway St. Buckland, MA, are open to the public for National Craft Open Studios Weekend occurring July 18 and 19 from 12-5pm. This first-of-its-kind, nationwide celebration invites the public into the creative spaces of craft artists across the country offering guests a rare glimpse into the processes, tools and inspiration that shape how handmade works are made. National Craft Open Studios Weekend is presented by the American Craft Council and launches as part of Craft in America’s Handwork: Celebrating American Craft 2026.

The Mill at Shelburne Falls is sited on the banks of the Deerfield River and the sustainable energy gained from the river supports a unique collection of makers working in glass, ceramics, wood and fiber arts. Participating artisans include Carson Converse Quilts, Conway Chair Company, the Handle Factory Community Clay Center, photographer Ben Barnhart, Worn at the Edges Screen prints, Wool & Weft Textile Studio, Emily Gopen Gratefull Gourds, Amy Gumprecht, Encaustics, ‍Elisabeth Radysh Handmade Toys, Carroll Durand, Pastel Paintings and Ann Lofquist Paintings. Additional retail open during the weekend includes: Raven Used Books, Diane Tuttle Haymaker Art and Frame and Turkesa Fine Art and Antiques.
